Why Pneumatic tools over Electrical Tools

There are different types of tools that are available in the market. Some of the tools run on petroleum while others run from electrical power. There are a number of advantages of using the pneumatic tools over the electrical tools.  The first advantage of using the tool run by compressed gas or air is that they are cheaper. The price as well as cost of operating the compressed air or gas tool is relatively low compared to that of an electrical tool. This means that a lot more people can acquire the tools and use them for industrial as well as home use.

The other advantage that is associated with the tools happens to be that the tools are lighter. The pneumatic tools are some of the lightest, lighter than electrical tools. There are various circuitry systems that the pneumatic tool lacks that make them light in weight. One of the elements that pneumatic tool lacks, is a transformer. This may be one of the heaviest parts of an electrical tool. A motor is also another important element in an electrical tool that is absent in the pneumatic tool. Using the compressed air or gas tool means that the user is more flexible and is less affected by fatigue for hauling the tool’s weight.

The pneumatic tools are also safer than electrical tools. The electrical tools have a number of risks that may occur in use. One of the risks with an electrical tool is shock. The shock may be as a result of internal circuitry failure or interaction of the environment with the tool’s circuit. The materials that are used in the circuitry of the electrical tool may also lead to other dangers such as fires. Since the electrical circuits are composed of plastics, rubbers, semiconductors, porcelain and melt part, overheating is common. Upon overheating the circuits may melt and even catch fire while being operated.

The other advantage that is associated with the pneumatic tools over the electrical tools is a higher power to weight ratio. The delivery of power to the working bits of the pneumatic tool is much efficient than of the normal electrical tool. There are numerous losses that the electrical tool experiences that may lower the output of the tool. In addition to the power output, the weight of the internal systems is also relatively heavier. Between tools of the same weight, the pneumatic tools have much power out put over the electrical tools.
